Educational Background: Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead; 48 additional credits of computer and technical education.
Teaching Experience: My whole teaching career has been at CI, I started in 1974.
Why I became an educator: Being a teacher was the only career I ever considered. I belonged to Future Teachers of America while I was at Cambridge High School. My high school teachers were very positive influences on me, and I wanted to help students through this very exciting yet challenging time in their lives. I chose business education as my major because students learn skills that directly impact their lives and their chosen careers.
Coaching/advisor duties: Cheerleading advisor (all sports); AFS Advisor, SADD Advisor; Commercial Club Advisor; Knowledge Bowl Advisor (6 years); Girls’ Golf coach (23 years).
Other Interests: Spending time with my family, music, playing piano and organ at area churches, attending concerts of all kinds, playing golf, reading, watching human interest movies, playing Trivial Pursuit with present and former students, and visiting with former students to find out what's been happening in their lives.
