KRISTINE ANDERSEN:
Educational background: Bachelor of Science in Life Science Education and a masters Degree in Science: both from Bemidji State University.
Teaching experience: I taught three years of 7th grade Life Science at Bemidji Middle School, and 2006-07 was my first year at Crosby-Ironton.
Why I became an educator: I grew up spending time in the outdoors with my family in northern Minnesota, so I always had an interest in science. In high school, I became involved in coaching figure skating and tutoring elementary students. I found tutoring and coaching to be challenging, rewarding and fun.
Coaching/advisor duties: track & field, S.A.L.T. (service adventure leadership team) advisor
Other interests/hobbies: I enjoy spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, rollerblading, running, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. I enjoy spending time with my husband Jeff, my son Gavin, my family and friends, and also curling and scrap booking.
