Janice JohnsonJANICE JOHNSON:
Educational background: BS + 30 at Bemidji State University
Teaching experience: I started at C-I in 1981.
Why I became an educator: My parents were teachers. I like working with young people. My summer jobs were mostly at youth camps. I like seeing the things I enjoy doing becoming things that other students enjoy. It’s a joy to watch the ‘light bulbs’ come on as they learn. I also enjoy observing the students as they mature and develop as leaders.
Coaching/advisor duties: In the past, I was the AFS (foreign exchange club) advisor. I also help with the Bemidji State Univ. math contest.
Other interests/hobbies: I like photography, needlework, gardening, and rubber stamping. I have two cats as pets. I enjoy spending time at our parent’s cabin.
