Educational background: Bachelor of Arts in Elem. Ed./Special Ed- 1984 from Wartburg College, Waverly, IA.  

Teaching experience: one year in Wyoming, IA as special ed. teacher at Midland Elementary School, two years as a high school transition special educator program serving 18-21 year olds in Macomb, IL.  16 years as a special education teacher at Cuyuna Range Elem. School.  In my 7th year as a special educator in the C-I High School.

Why I became an educator:  To help students with special needs learn to advocate for themselves and achieve their greatest potential in becoming productive citizens in their communities.

Other interests/hobbies: outdoor recreational activities:  motorcycle riding, camping, canoeing, biking with my family and reading.
