Education:  BS in Mathematics Education from St. Cloud State University,  MA in education with a specialization in computers from California State University, Northridge.

 

Teaching:  One year at Forest Lake High School, Forest Lake, MN; one year at Northridge Junior High, Coon Rapids, MN; and 6 months at the International School of Luxembourg in Luxembourg, Europe.  (I then worked for the Pillsbury Company in Quality Control and as a Statistical Process Control Manager.) I started teaching in CI in 2006.

 

Why I became an educator:  My sixth grade teacher showed me how to work in different bases (other than Base 10) – it sparked my interest.  Then I had a wonderful, female high school math teacher who inspired me to become a math teacher.

 

Interests and Hobbies:  quilting, scrap booking, walking/hiking, down-hill skiing, boating and horse-back riding.
