Cuyuna Range Elementary School

The current open classrooms at CRES were not designed for today's educational delivery method.  They lack function and flexibility. By enclosing the open classrooms, teachers will be able to focus students on their work while the enclosed flex spaces provide opportunities for group collaboration and project work. The renovated performance space will provide added flexibility for multi-use and an enhanced environment for staff, students, parents, and the public to participate in events such as science fairs, performances, programs, and staff and community meetings. Staffing efficiencies and a wider variety of academic experiences for students are some of the benefits provided with remodeling work planned for the library/media center.

CRES Floor plan

Secondary School

The overall goal defined by the Community Task Force is to make the Secondary School more inviting – a place where students, parents and the public feel welcome and want to be involved. With the planned improvements to the Commons, Library/Media Center, Flex Classroom and Multi-Purpose Space, this goal will be accomplished. The remodeled shop class area, with up-to-date equipment and new finishes will provide an ideal environment for contemporary teaching and learning and will provide an appropriate venue where local industries can assist with career readiness and workforce development while generating interest in these trade areas.
