bridges connections we have jobs

Students and Families:

Thanks to a partnership with the Bridges Career Academies & Workplace Connection, Crosby-Ironton High School students have access to a tremendous resources that will help them become a part of the workforce and find a summer job. www.BridgesConnection.org/Jobs utilizes an easy-to-use database of jobs just for 14-18 year olds. Students may search by location, business category or even by specific employers.

Though summer employment may initially be limited during the Governor’s Stay-At-Home order, our local business community is anxious to hire students. Businesses are encouraging students to apply for positions, even if interviews and hiring may not happen immediately.

Area businesses are also making great strides to ensure all employees are safe. They are developing new safety procedures, following the guidelines by the CDC.

Aside from earning a paycheck, working a part time job can help build self-confidence, self-esteem and builds your resume for future jobs or college applications.

Even if you aren't looking for a job for this summer, working together at home to explore options for the future may open communication about future potential careers. The Bridges website offers a great collection of resources to help students explore careers, as well as find tips on how to complete applications, prepare for an interview and more.
