Attention, adventurers!
CRES’s Book Blast event will be starting on Thursday, November 14th. We will set off in search of treasure to build our students’ at home libraries. Families will follow the steps on their students Treasure Map to embark on a jungle quest to earn exciting prizes and books. Just for sending 10 invites, your child will receive three awesome prizes and be entered to win one of five treasure chests full of prizes.
Our goal with this Book Blast is to ensure that all of our students have books at home. All contributions from your friends, and family will go towards your child's books until they have earned all ten books. Any additional contributions or any community donations will go towards their classmates. #bookblastadventures #bookblast #booksarefun
**If you don’t know a student at the school or receive an invitation to contribute, but you’d still like to help all students at Cuyuna Range Elementary School take home more books, you can contribute at: https://tinyurl.com/CuyunaRangeESCommLink

Congratulations, Londyn Eastwood and Emma Silgen, on being our Rangers Athlete of the Week for the weeks of October 21- November 8! Keep working hard! #gocigo #rangernation

Sixth grade visited Long Lake Conservation Center on October 31. Students got to experience walking on a bog, starting fires, holding snakes, participating in group challenge courses, and learning all about nature!

Thank you to CLEF for awarding SALT funds for leadership training! On October 30th, SALT, NHS, and Student Council members got to participate in a leadership training from Character Challenge. The training focused on what characteristics make a leader and how to consistently show those characteristics through one's actions.
The student leaders then got to take an active role in the 5th grade assembly, showing students the importance of trust and kindness. It was an amazing day!

Project Unite and C-I Environmental Club are teaming up and need your help! They are collecting new or gently worn tennis/athletic shoes as a fundraiser. There is a collection box in the HS and CRES entryways. The more sneakers collected, the more dollars are earned for Project Unite to use towards communication, staff support, school pride and volunteering. The shoes collected stay out of the landfills and given to those in need. For more information visit www.gotsneakers.com or contact Khachey@gmail.com.
Together we can make a difference! #gocigo #rangernation

Students in the manufacturing program recently toured TNT Industries, Graphic Packaging, Clow Stamping, and Magnum Machining. They were able to see many different parts of the manufacturing process including sheet metal forming, welding, robotics, machining, and engineering. Thank you to all of these fantastic companies for welcoming in our students!

Second graders enjoyed their Halloween celebrations last week with some bowling, good eats, fun games and a pumpkin decorating contest!

Reminder....early dismissal 11/7 and no school 11/8!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in the referendum. While the Crosby-Ironton referendum did not pass, we remain dedicated to providing the best education possible for our students. Our financial challenges remain. We will work hard in the months ahead to determine a path forward to address our budget deficit and financial instability. *These are unofficial results.

C-I S.A.L.T. (Service Action Leadership Team) students collected 379 pounds of food for its annual We Scare Hunger food drive. All donated items benefit the Cuyuna Range Food Shelf, which currently services 180 families in our area. S.A.L.T. members thank all of those who donated food for this event!

Los estudiantes de español learned about an important Mexican holiday called DÍa de muertos. Students colored sugar skulls, wrote poems about their loved ones who have died, and decorated masks. We were too busy to take any pictures of our time today, but here’s what el aula de español looks like! Click on the link to learn more about this alternative view of death.
