🌳First graders went on a nature walk on the CRES trail and used the outdoor classroom to complete their treasure hunt! 🐛🐜





On September 18th, CIS English students and Spanish II and III students went to Central Lakes College Brainerd to attend Verse Like Water: the visiting poet program. Students were treated to a craft talk and reading session with Juan Felipe Herrera, the 2015-2017 U.S. Poet Laureate. Students also got a free copy of Herrera's newest poetry collection and had the opportunity to get the book signed by the poet! Thanks to CLC, and a special shout out to Jeff Johnson for providing this great opportunity!



Kindergarten had the pleasure of visiting the local grocery store, Super One! They got a tour of the store and learned so much. Thank you, Super One, for hosting us!

Our school district faces a budget deficit that will impact our students, staff and schools. If approved this November, the Ranger Nation Strong Foundation plan would close the budget gap, stabilize funding and help preserve our district's great education.

Sixth graders have started to build their ukuleles in Technology and Innovation class. The students will paint, laser engrave, and build their own ukulele that they will bring to Music class to learn how to play. Thank you to Cuyuna Lakes Education Foundation for providing the funding to purchase these ukulele kits for the students!

Congratulations, to the 1973 Football Team, on being inducted into the 2024-2025 Crosby-Ironton Rangers Hall of Fame sponsored by Crosby-Ironton Sports Boosters. This team finished their season undefeated with a record of 10-0. They were ranked #1 in the State by the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
All inductees will be introduced during the Homecoming Football game Friday, September 20 and honored at a luncheon on Saturday, September 21 at Taconite Canteen & Event Center. #GoCIGo #RangersHOF

Such a fun week in Science! Mrs. Augustinack's 4th graders are learning about the Scientific Method by using gummy worms! They asked a question, researched, wrote a hypothesis, tested it by doing an experiment, analyzed results and wrote a conclusion! #sciencerocks

Congratulations, Randy Swanhorst, on being inducted into the 2024-2025 Crosby-Ironton Rangers Hall of Fame sponsored by Crosby-Ironton Sports Boosters. While at C-I, he accumulated 22 years of coaching. Randy coached volleyball, boys' basketball and was head girls' basketball coach. He coached the girls' basketball team to their first ever State appearance in 2004 and was named Mid-State Conference Coach of the Year, three times!
