Some fun was had before the Thanksgiving break by making pumpkin pie in a bag and pilgrim hat treats!

College in Schools (CIS) Intro to Literature students picked classic poems and paired them with contemporary songs to analyze and teach to the class. Students created posters, recited poems, and played clips of their songs to make their presentations engaging to their audience.

Students in Mrs. Duhn's class took part in a STEM activity for Thanksgiving! Students made up stories about why the turkey was trying to escape then used cranberries, toothpicks, and popsicle sticks to build rafts for the turkey to get away on. They had to work in teams and use trial and error to make it work!

This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families who make our school community so special. Together, we create a place of learning, growth, and kindness.
As we celebrate this season of gratitude, let’s remember the importance of giving, sharing, and appreciating one another.
Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and memorable Thanksgiving holiday!

Did you save room for pie?
Ms. Anna's preschoolers did! They made pumpkin pie in a bag! Most students gave this treat a thumbs-up👍

C-I Families: Reminder of early dismissal Wednesday and no school Thursday and Friday!

At the end of September, a small group of Crosby-Ironton seniors had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C and Gettysburg. Students were able to explore the Smithsonian, Washington’s Mount Vernon, the U.S. Capital, various monuments, Arlington National Cemetery…to name a few. Four days of jam packed history gave students a new perspective of the U.S. to intrigue their learning throughout their senior year studies!
A big shout-out to Mrs. Schenk (McDonald), for organizing such an amazing opportunity for our students. Thank you!
