This year, for PBIS, CRES students worked towards a whole school positive incentive by demonstrating good behavior choices. Students received Paw Pride slips and filled up the Paw Pride Slip container to earn the Ninja Course. 🐱👤CLEF sponsored the event and provided every student with t-shirts to celebrate how awesome our students and staff really are! 🤗
⭐Congratulations to Taytum Tisdel and Taylor Smith, who were recognized at Sourcewell's Students of Character banquet. These two students were picked by their teachers for making a real difference in the community, and each received a scholarship, thanks to support from local businesses and donors. 🚴♂️ Mr. Lang has taken our Phy. Ed. biking unit to the next level! For the past few years, students have enjoyed biking on school grounds and along the CRES trail. This year, he expanded the adventure for our 5th and 6th graders by taking them off-campus to explore the scenic, paved State trails. What an awesome way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors! 🌳🚲

Volunteer opportunity! CRES Field Day for our K-2nd graders will be Friday, May 16. We need your help!
We are reaching out to inform you about a concerning and potentially dangerous social media trend that has recently come to our attention. A TikTok challenge is circulating where students insert metal objects, such as paperclips, into the USB ports of their Chromebooks. This action can cause the devices to short-circuit, and in some cases, catch on fire.
Unfortunately, our district has already experienced one such incident. Thankfully, no one was injured, but this behavior poses serious safety risks and can result in significant damage to school property.
Students who participate in this activity will be held accountable and will be charged for the full cost of replacing the Chromebook, as well as any staff time required to investigate and resolve the situation.
We are asking for your support in addressing this issue before it becomes more widespread. Please take a moment to speak with your child about the dangers of participating in social media challenges like this and the importance of treating school equipment with care and responsibility.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our schools safe and our resources protected.
