February 22-26 is Minnesota School Board Recognition Week, so please take time to thank these dedicated school leaders. School board members devote hours of their time each week to provide leadership for our school district! #CelebrateSchoolBoards

Parents, Guardians, Community Members:
This is to alert you that on Tuesday, February 16th, there are 90 students who are absent from school because they have either tested positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive. Please remember to exercise caution by practicing safe social distancing, wearing a face covering and washing hands frequently. The pandemic is far from over. We ask that students and families help us keep our students in school by adhering to the safe social distancing guidelines. Also, please remember to contact the school nurse immediately if anyone in your family is experiencing flu-like symptoms. We will continue to do what we can to keep our schools open!
Sincerely,
Jamie Skjeveland, Ed.D.
Superintendent

Yesterday marked the 100th day of school! Some classes celebrated with games, pizza party, or a movie. Ms. Esse's class celebrated by licking a Tootsie Pop, 100 times, to see if they could get to the center. Do you think they did it? Other classes thought of 100 ways to be kind.
Today is the 101st day of school! Students in Mrs. Jensen's class are celebrating with pup-corn and collections of 101 things.
Do you recognize these two teachers?!

Such talented students we have at C-I! Check out these still-life drawings using graphite and charcoal. Great job!

Mr. Dirks' 7th grade science class is learning about digestion. Can you drink water upside down?!

Some of our Unified PE students have been working together on their basketball skills. Nice work!

Today Xander, the therapy dog, is celebrating his 3rd Birthday. He has been hard at work reminding everyone the correct way to wear their masks and making people smile! Happy Birthday, Xander!
