Some fun was had before the Thanksgiving break by making pumpkin pie in a bag and pilgrim hat treats!

College in Schools (CIS) Intro to Literature students picked classic poems and paired them with contemporary songs to analyze and teach to the class. Students created posters, recited poems, and played clips of their songs to make their presentations engaging to their audience.

Students in Mrs. Duhn's class took part in a STEM activity for Thanksgiving! Students made up stories about why the turkey was trying to escape then used cranberries, toothpicks, and popsicle sticks to build rafts for the turkey to get away on. They had to work in teams and use trial and error to make it work!

Did you save room for pie?
Ms. Anna's preschoolers did! They made pumpkin pie in a bag! Most students gave this treat a thumbs-up👍

This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families who make our school community so special. Together, we create a place of learning, growth, and kindness.
As we celebrate this season of gratitude, let’s remember the importance of giving, sharing, and appreciating one another.
Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and memorable Thanksgiving holiday!

Thank you to everyone in our community and beyond that have contributed to our Book Blast event! Your support will help students take home as many books as possible, up to 10 each. In our quest to promote literacy and reading, every new book is like gold to be treasured!

At the end of September, a small group of Crosby-Ironton seniors had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C and Gettysburg. Students were able to explore the Smithsonian, Washington’s Mount Vernon, the U.S. Capital, various monuments, Arlington National Cemetery…to name a few. Four days of jam packed history gave students a new perspective of the U.S. to intrigue their learning throughout their senior year studies!
A big shout-out to Mrs. Schenk (McDonald), for organizing such an amazing opportunity for our students. Thank you!

Mr. Schafbuch’s basic auto class has been busy working on vehicles. They have been doing oil changes, brakes, and other miscellaneous work. What great hands-on learning!

Congratulations to our final Treasure Chest winner , Cuyler Williams! The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. It’s not too late to complete your Treasure Map, earn your prizes, and help your child’s teacher earn a shopping spree to purchase books and supplies for the classroom! When 60% of the classroom students register and invite 10+ friends and family members, that teacher will earn a $100 shopping spree. If ALL the classroom students invite 10+ friends and family members, the teacher will earn a $200 shopping spree.

Power up! Our 3rd Book Blast Treasure Chest winner is Gavyn Broppe! Congratulations!
Did you know that Book Blast contributions help ensure all our students receive books? After your student earns all 10 books from the book list, additional contributions help provide more books for all our students, classrooms, and the library. Your involvement makes a world of difference!
