Here are the winners of Culinary Arts 1 Golden Spatula Competition for Weeks 1 and 2! Sarah and Summer created a creative and flavorful avocado toast to win the best breakfast competition. Angel and Hailey baked rich and delicious brownies for the dessert competition!

Unified Special Olympics was in Pillager yesterday for Track and Field. Athletes and partners participated in running, throwing and other stations together. They were unable to participate in Unified Relays due to the weather. Great job to you all!



Yesterday the 8th graders took their Science portion of the MCA's. This 8th grader sported the most appropriate shirt!

A group of C-I students had the opportunity to learn from Luke Spalj of Rice Lake Construction in Deerwood. Mr. Spalj talked about the construction business and what they look for when it comes to hiring employees. We appreciate the time you spent with us the expertise you shared!

Our Senior Spotlight of the Day goes to, Mason!


Our 2nd graders went on a field trip to the Forest History Center in Grand Rapids, earlier this week. Students learned of the past, present and future of our forests at this 1900's logging camp. Thank you for having us!




The Career Seminar and Money Management students took a field trip to learn about small business management. Students completed a unit on creating their own business and had the opportunity to see what that looked like in person. Students learned about creating a niche business plan, how to research products, and how to market a business. Thank you, Victual, for inviting us in!

Spanish 1 students learned that this day is all about commemorating the Mexican's defeat of the French in 1862. They shouted ¡Viva México! with the miniature flags they made.
Spanish 2 students read about the reasons 5 de mayo is celebrated more in the U.S. than in Mexico today and made their own maracas to celebrate.
Senora Dietz and two students celebrated today with the colors of the Mexican flag painted on their faces!
