C-I hosted an amazing young lady yesterday! Miss Emma Benoit hails from Louisiana and is a suicide survivor. C-I’s senior high students had the opportunity to watch her documentary, My Ascension, and then participated in a panel discussion with Emma, representatives from Smiles for Jake, mental health professionals from CRMC, and school counselors.
This presentation was part of the “SMILE” program, a joint project between Smiles for Jake and CRMC, which is funded by a grant from Sourcewell.
