On May 7th, S.A.L.T. hosted its 3rd annual Walk to HOPE to benefit Healing Opportunity Provided Equally, a local domestic violence advocacy organization. This year's walk raised $2,541. Each year, 5th grade teacher Mr. Bendson creates a special word cloud made up of the names of every student in his class. He started this thoughtful tradition with the Class of 2024 —when that class was in 5th grade.🧑🏫📚 The tradition has continued.

RangerMade student, Wyatt Juracek, worked closely with the Cuyuna Iron Range Heritage Network on creating a grave marker for all those who were killed in the Milford Mine Disaster. Pictured (L-R): Tim Leonard- President, Wyatt Juracek, Roxanne Aulie- Secretary and Tim Lindberg. Thank you, Mr. Lindberg, for donating the rods/stakes to attach to the grave markers.
2024 marked the 100th anniversary of the disaster. Roxanne is a descendant of one of the miners killed in the disaster. This was near and dear to her heart and feels this is another step in having the miners honored!

Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union teamed up with local Business Professionals to provide a "reality check" with our juniors. The event called "Mad City Money" gave each student a future identity complete with an occupation, salary, kids, and perhaps some debt. Students then made decisions about housing, transportation, food, clothing, child care, entertainment, and more. It's just like being an adult!

This year, for PBIS, CRES students worked towards a whole school positive incentive by demonstrating good behavior choices. Students received Paw Pride slips and filled up the Paw Pride Slip container to earn the Ninja Course. 🐱👤CLEF sponsored the event and provided every student with t-shirts to celebrate how awesome our students and staff really are! 🤗
⭐Congratulations to Taytum Tisdel and Taylor Smith, who were recognized at Sourcewell's Students of Character banquet. These two students were picked by their teachers for making a real difference in the community, and each received a scholarship, thanks to support from local businesses and donors.
