Mr. Dirk's science class played a game called "Spread Your Sign," in which every student creates a unique sign (like "thumbs up" or "peace") and tries to tag as many other people with it. Once tagged, you take on the same sign and tag others. They then debriefed how it is an analogy for diseases spreading and how our immune system works to combat them.
Our Senior Spotlight of the day is, Abby Mahowald!
The 3rd graders did a STEM engineering activity on Valentine's Day! The goal of the activity was to build a free standing bridge that was at least 14 cm long using cups, toothpicks, marshmallows, and heart gummies. The kids had 15 minutes to complete this activity! It was fun to see their teamwork and engineering skills being used!
It's "I Love to Read Week" at CRES and the dress up day was 'Future Job." These students nailed it!

Our Senior Spotlight of the Day is Carter Decent!
Last week, 17 C-I students traveled to CLC Staples campus for a 7-9th grade Knowledge Bowl competition.
A team of 8th graders took home 3rd place.
The theme of the meet was “Favorite Book Character.” Two C-I teams won this award!
The Culinary Arts 2 class learned how to poach eggs and make hollandaise sauce for eggs benedict!
Friday, February 17 was Random Acts of Kindness Day. Some students picked a teacher that they would like to show appreciation to and wrote a nice note and delivered it!
Starting Monday, February 27 is "Read Across America Week" at CRES. Take a peek at the dress-up days for the week.
